This is from today's Post article on last night's games:
"... 23-year-old Chad Cordero pitched the ninth for his major league-leading 43rd save, tying the franchise record set by John Wetteland in 1993, back when the team played as the Montreal Expos."
Isn't this a Washington team with a Washington-based history? The team's logo says that the team was established in 1905. We don't remember the Expos being around then or anytime before 1969. How then are the Expos a precursor for the Washington Nationals?
