Tonight's Game

Tonight's game.

The Nationals really need to win this one, but it looks like a very tough game. The Nationals start Tony Armas (4.44 ERA, 12.3 VORP) against John Smoltz (2.96 ERA, 54 VORP). That's not a good matchup for us.

On the bright side, Deivi Cruz starts tonight in place of Cristian Guzman. On the dark side, Cruz is batting second. On the darker side, Vinny Castilla is batting sixth, and Marlon Byrd is batting eighth. That's not a lineup that compares favorably with the Braves' lineup.

So the Braves have the better pitcher and the better offense. Huh, this is going to be a tough game.

Go Nats!
