Now we're talking: a Nationals/Orioles rivalry

The Nationals and Orioles will play a home and home series next year. The Nationals will play a three-game series at Camden Yards in May, and the Orioles will play a three-game series at RFK, presumably in June.

This is just what baseball needs in this area--a true rivalry between the two area clubs. Given that neither team has been good at getting to the World Series recently, hoping for an October meeting is ridiculously unrealistic. On the other hand, pitting the teams against each other during the regular season is a great way of stoking the rivalry between the teams and the baseball following in each city. This should peak interest in both teams, but particularly in the Nationals, and should fuel the baseball fire in D.C.

It's an obvious move, yes, but it's a good one.
