For those following tonight's game on the computer.
Much of what we said yesterday about last night's game applies equally to tonight's game. That's because Pedro Astacio, who the Padres announced would start yesterday is slated to start tonight's game. As we said yesterday, Astacio is not a good pitcher.
Unfortunately, Ryan Drese isn't either. To confirm this, you need only look at his ERA, which is nearly 6.00 with the Nationals. That spells trouble for the Nats, who, given their performance over the last month, can't be counted on to score six runs in two games, let alone in one. But the Nats have scored twelve runs over the last two games, so perhaps they're emerging from their offensive slumber. Astacio is just what the doctor ordered for the Nats' bats, so let's hope he starts tonight.
